3 Tips For Men To Keep Your Wallets Tidy And Organized

We all love to carry our favorite wallets wherever we go, but how many of us truly take care of them properly? Dozens of old, decrepit receipts stashed in the pockets, credit cards stuffed in with the cash, and coins in places where they are not supposed to be – we’re all guilty of these common wallet faux pas, regardless of whether we own a wallet with a money clip or a men’s leather bifold wallet with a coin pocketAnd when the time comes to actually take something out, we are stuck frantically rummaging through all the junk. To alleviate that problem, we have made a list of a few simple tips that will help you keep your wallets organized:

Keep it simple

When you have wallets with 20 different pockets and slots, it is much more likely that you will end up with a thick wallet that makes an unseemly bulge under your clothes. The trick to avoiding this is to keep it simple. Choose a small, bifold or trifold wallet that has just about enough pockets and compartments for your important cards, IDs and some cash.

Cut the clutter

Make sure you clean out your wallet every week. There is nothing wrong with putting receipts and coupons in there, as long as you take them out at the end of the week. You must ideally only have your basic essentials such as cash and your cards in your wallet. Cleaning it regularly not only reduces the clutter but taking the receipts out also allows you to keep a track of your weekly expenses.

Organize your cards

If you have more than a few cards in your wallet, you must organize them in a way that allows you easy access. The best way to do this is to first pick out the cards that you use more often and then store the rest away. Now, arrange them in the card slots – not the money compartment – so that you can take them out without having to sort through a whole pile of cards you don’t use.

With these tips in hand, you will be able to optimize your wallet and keep it in shape for a long time.
